It's been 2 years already since I first visiting Gaspereau Valley Fibres

I especially love to check out their flock of Cotswold sheep

Thanks to the wool shop owner Brenda Gilmour whose been very supportive

FELTasticWine accessories & DIY kits have been well-received at retail shops

I wish more people will love this ancient handicraft

BACK-TO-BACK 2012

It's the 18th annual International Back to Back Wool Challenge!

Teams across the world compete to shear a sheep, spin the wool and knit a sweater in the fastest time possible.

Gaspereau Valley Fibres' "Sheep Thrills" just able to finish in 9 hours & 46 minutes on May 26!

They tried to beat their record of 6th in the world last year!

Final result for all 10+ teams will be released on June 10.

Just in! Sheep Thrills placed 7th in the world and was the fastest team in Canada this year!!!

 Sarah Nettleton showed her amazing skills to shear a sheep 

& educated many visitors including myself! 

 

On the same day, I worked on the "Nova Scotia" Wool 
& created more FELTasticWine glass gloves/coasters too!

PERSONALIZED MOBILE ART DECOR

Jim Davis' creation of Garfield® is so popular, 

it held the Guinness World Record for being the world's most widely syndicated comic strip!

I am making this personalized mobile / art decor 

- a special Christmas gift to my best friend's little baby boy TL.

I hope he will LOVE IT & TREASURE IT forever!

KHANCHI & NILO SCULPTURE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to MARY!

I received a special request from her fiancé in the US nearly 2 months ago.

After a few design discussions through e-mails & based on the only photo I received, 

I had created this very special piece palm-size sculpture with their 2 lovely cats!

Now Mary won't miss her cats too much as she may enjoy to see them whenever
& wherever she go for her many business & leisure trips around the world!

LITTLE LAMBS...LITTLE CAKE SHOP

On May 7, 2011 morning at Gaspereau Valley Fibres Yarn Yard Sales

My first little CAKE shop to showcase my newly felted creations!

Yes! I've been dreaming to open a bigger CAKE shop with a glass-covered counter top to showcase all the yummy "patisseries" I've created - just like those in the real pastry shop!


In fact, I just decide to be part of the 16th Annual Craft & Food Fair presented by 
the Horton Music Parents Association at Horton High School in Greenwich, NS 
on October 15, 2011 (9am - 4pm).
There will be over 160 tables featuring a large variety of crafters and artisans from around Nova Scotia. 
Horton music students will be performing throughout the day.


I'm very excited & I can't wait to meet the people & other crafters & artisans!
I think I should start to build up my CAKE inventory now & prepare for this great handicraft event!
