LEGO FOR MATT

My children's godfather is having his 30th birthday a few days ago.

Just earlier, we had the Halloween costume party which he made the LEGO outfits himself.

Thus, I think it would be a fun way to create another LEGO head by applying needle felting.

EAST MEET WEST GREETINGS

Since I am working on the East-Meet-West theme,

I have designed a set of 6 Chinese-English greeting flat/greeting cards & gift tags.

All of them are one-of-a-kind illustrations drawn by a pen & a ruler (& by myself of course).

CHINESE GOOD LUCK KNOT

GOOD LUCK symbol is very important to both Eastern & Western world.

These are Chinese traditional Good Luck knots made with spun silk cords.

For an artistic touch, wool felt beans & other pearl look-a-like beans are added.

Some of them I needle felt Chinese character such as 美 "beautiful" & 吉 "auspicious".

Just before I needle felt the wool bean on the classic black & red combination...

IN THE NEWS AGAIN

Just 17 days to go before the 3-day Acadia Christmas Craft Expo (NOV.18-20), 

I just found out I was one of the three crafters featured in the local newspaper.

It makes me even more excited to be a proud wool ambassador!

I will keep on to promote the goodness of wool 

& how fun we can get from this renewable fibres!
