WHY WE LOVE WOOL ?!

Have you checked out the WE LOVE WOOL campaign yet?

Did you know wool has a natural structure which allows it to absorb and release humidity?
Wool is able to acclimatise to individual environments, which means wool is great for summer and winter!

I just had a test & try during my trip in NYC. It was 30C+ degree every day.
But I didn't get any sweat wearing my wool bib necklace at all. No kidding! It's REAL~

Here's the first 10 of the 100 Reasons Why We Love Wool:

#1 Wool is biodegradable.
When wool fibre is disposed, it will only take a few years to decompose. Unlike plastic, it will break down and go back into the soil.

#2 Wool can be used to insulate your home.
Wool stops the energy from escaping and thus can reduce carbon emissions!

#3 Did you know there are many different types of wool?
Then of course, there are lots of sheep breeds, but not all of them bear wool that is lovely and soft. Some types are Merino, Smart Wool, Corriedale, Lincoln, Border leicester.

#4 Wool is so durable.
A wool fibre can be bent 20,000 times without breaking. That's super strong and explains why wool items last for years!

#5 Wool will never be out of shape.
The natural elasticity of the Merino fibre means it stretches with the wearer, but then returns to its natural shape, so there is less chance of garments sagging or losing their shape!

#6 Wool is fire retardant.
A fabric made entirely of wool doesn’t readily catch fire. Even if it does, it burns slowly.

#7 Wool is sun protective.
A relatively new rating system for sun protective textiles and clothing is called UPF. Wool fabrics have a good UPF rating for both dry and wet situations and will protect against the sun's harmful rays!

#8 Wool is great for babies diapers.
Wool nappies enable mums to know when the baby is wet which leads to more frequent nappy changes. Air circulates to babies bottom, allowing it to breathe and eliminate rashes!

#9 How many km of fibre in each adult Merino fleece?
There are normally around 5,000 - 7,000km!

#10 You don't have to iron wool to take out the creases!
Wool can be refreshed by hanging out in a steamy bathroom. The moisture from the steam will remove wrinkles.
