Each year the International Day of Peace is observed around the world on 21 September.
The United Nation General Assembly has declared this as a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
As posted in the July 2012 PEACE FELT blogpost,
I have participated in the Peace Felt 2012 exchange event.
There are over hundred of felters coming from 20 countries around the world going to join!

How Peace Felt works?
"Sending out works of PEACE FELT during September will result in these handcrafted works of art creating an energetic circle of peace and loving kindness around the planet as they travel from one heart to the next."
This is my contribution for this Peace Felt exchange. It will be sent to Michigan, US to a lovely lady who is very active into Peace Group. When I first work on the design, I want to make a fashion statement piece because my FELTasticFashion background & I was thinking about the Olympic Ring colors."...the six colours [including the flag’s white background] thus combined reproduce the colours of all the nations, with no exception. The blue and yellow of Sweden, the blue and white of Greece, the tri- colours of France, England and America, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Hungary, the yellow and red of Spain next to the novelties of Brazil or Australia, with old Japan and new China. Here is truly an international symbol." - August, 1912 edition of Olympique by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, the founder of the modern Olympic Games. | |
